Came in for lunch no forks had to wait 10mins food got cold tea pots dirty plate came out with jam on it won't be coming here again for a bite to eat
Nearly always go into here with my mother after shopping on a Saturday as a treat. Today we gave the restaurant a miss. No plates to put cakes on. Then as we looked no Gluten Free cakes. So we decided to go elsewhere. If you are Coeliac you appreciate the fact that most places have at least one biscuit or cake you can eat. Very poor. Nothing else suitable as declaimer says "low Gluten". Dosnt help when you have to be gluten free for health reasons.
Came in for breakfast. The lady serving the food was so miserable and made us feel like we were being a pain just asking for food!! If staff are to be greeting customers then she needs to smile and make them feel welcome! Also the large comfy chairs are filthy. Wouldn't take much to wipe them down. Finger marks and spillage all down the arms!
Store always looks good and usually well stocked. Food area needs improvement though. Recent visit saw member of till staff blatantly not wanting to listen and hurried us through! I had 2 free drinks left to use. I told her I wanted to use 1 of them. She took both anyway. Suggest staff take a breath and think about what they've been asked and not just assume they are right, and without attitude. Felt sorry for single staff member clearing plates when 2 others appeared to have nothing better to do than stand and watch. This part of the job was obviously beneath them! This experience is the reason for my lower rating. Suggest some extra training required.
Dobbies garden centre is an amazing place to visit. It's has a variety of items on sale. From garden to walking sticks. My dad and I had a great afternoon there. We stopped in the restaurant and had tea and cake. A wonderful and enjoyable place to go. Well recommended.
