Friendly and helpful. Good dentistry and only lose a star as you seem to get a new dentist every 12 months or so which means your treatment lacks continuity.

I came here for a one-off emergency appointment via the dental helpline, and it was one of the nicest dental experiences I've had. I was actually seen right on time, the reception staff were friendly, efficient and down to earth, and the dentist was very friendly, positive, gentle and competent alongside his smiling assistant. I actually left feeling optimistic and soothed for a change. Would be happy to sign up to this practice long-term.

I am in my 60's and over the years have had many, many dentists, this dentist has been the worst! Yes, very friendly when you first go, except for one snotty receptionist (beware) who embarrassed me. I went to have roots taken out where I had lost 3 crowns on the bottom jaw, was a terrible blow as it left me with only my front teeth at the bottom to chew on (which felt loose) with tooth loss on the top, on one side as well. Obviously I couldn't afford to lose any more teeth! The dentist suggested I have a bridge at the top, to fill the loss of two teeth, which meant that it had to be fixed to my eye tooth and the last molar at the back. I also needed to have a denture made so that I could eat on the bottom. NHS work is terrible and they don't care about the look of your teeth anymore and use fillings that are cheap and look nasty, so I opted to go private (cost 2,950 pounds!!) I also asked for my front teeth to be looked at, as I was beginning to get a gap there. Well, I now have two front teeth that make me look like bugs bunny and don't match the colour for my other teeth, I have a new bridge at the top, which doesn't match my teeth and stands out like a sore thumb and a denture for the bottom, which every time I put it in, it makes me retch! He never cleaned my teeth, or polished them after and when I said I hate what he has done as it is not my smile anymore, he completely ignored me and just said that I would have to have veneers put on my own teeth either side, to match the false teeth!!! That's it!!! I would now have to pay another 500 pounds each tooth, to fix the problem he caused as my teeth look SO much worse than before. I am SO depressed about it and the way my teeth look now. I might as well have had them all taken out and total dentures fitted it looks so bad. Even the filling he did on my bottom tooth has come out! I recently went to another (proper private) dentist, and she said that I have bone loss and gum disease, my teeth are loose (no different from when I went to my dentist ) and I have a 6mm hole in my jaw!! She also said that there is NO way she would have put anything in my mouth until the gum disease was sorted! Oh and I have an impacted wisdom tooth which was coming through on the bottom and is giving me pain to this day, he didn't even mention how he could help me with that!! Terrible, Terrible place.

My dentist at Shepton are excellent the reception staff always very helpful and my dentist is fantastic can not praise them highly enough

My husband was given an appointment as an emergency and we came all the way down from brean sands. There was road closers and it was very hard to find not being from around here and from South Wales we had no idea of the area. We used a satnav but it did not take us directly to the clinic. We phoned and phoned to try and explain our situation and finally got through after 10 minutes which then made us late for the appointment. We explain the situation and then was told we was to late and my husband couldn't be seen. I am disgusted with this service and I would not recommend this dentist to anyone. We was willing to wait aswell as my husband is in agony and now we are cutting our holiday short to go home for my husband to be seen.
