RIAT CAMPERS LOOK ELSEWHEREThe campsite was a total sham. I emailed in advance asking important questions relating to my disability such as wheelchair charging and if we could park next to the tent and almost every answer they gave was incorrect. I could list hundreds of issues but here are the main onesjust before leaving we asked if they would consider making some small adjustments to make this more appealing to disabled campers and the response was "ye we don't want to" make of that what you wantThey failed to proved charging for my wheelchair after they said they would, No hot water after the first day, No water at all at timesThe toilets were disgusting(I found my self waiting to get into the airshow before going to the toilet to avoid the camp ones)The waste management was appalling rubbish left everywhereMusic till midnight every night. WHY??? people are up early for the airshowFloodlights on the campsite which didn't turn off making sleep extremely difficultThe staff seemed very relaxed about issues not rushing to fix any of them, like the lack of water, which is why the camp had no water(not even drinking water) for a whole day which didn't help the toilet issueThe showers where barley usable and everything got soaking even in the "dry storage" parts of the shower and no external storage so a wet walk back to the tent became the norm I imagine if I was drunk and off my face on some drugs sold to me by a hippy in flip flops this camp would be 5 stars however I wasn't at Glastonbury. So its a 1 star from me. Perhaps trying to adapt your service to the venue that is paying you
RIAT 2018..not the cheapest but Close to air show, easy to find.. only downside, showers freezing cold evening and morning.. glad we didnt stop 2 + nights as showereing would of been an issue..
total disgrace for an event campsite. We stayed at the RIAT2018 Tangerine fields which was the "official" campsite. More like the official "POW" camp, saying that I wouldn't even let Tangerine Fields run a POW camp. Toilets were disgusting with tissue and other stuff around the place. Bins were overflowing on site. The Tangerine Beer Tent had music going until 12:30am. The water to the toilets was cutoff in the morning when it was busy leaving nowhere but the drinking taps to wash your hands. But according to the organisers this was acceptable!!!. This was supposed to be a family campsite. How are children supposed to sleep with that going all night. They hadn't even cut the grass where you pitch your tents. It was over 18 inches high. And to rub salt into the wound when we complained they said it was "festival camping". (I'm sorry but we were at an Airshow, not a festival. ) and then when we complained to the site wardens we got a sarcastic wave goodbye when we left!
Hay on Wye site , friendly welcome and taken to our tent and shown all facilities Very clean , showers were perfect and plenty of toilets Reasonably price food and coffee and the cafe
Bit of a walk to all the action and expensive but we'll worth it for the extra space and the showers. Breakfast on site was ok but not great, stay away from the scrambled egg! Bar was good though, with good craft ales available
